My routine product mix for brightening and moisturizing the skin in winter
Use a gentle gel scrub on Sunday
why?
This moisturizing exfoliating gel, enriched with natural fruit citrus extracts (AHA) , gently removes dead skin cells, smooths texture, and prepares the skin to better absorb toners, serums, and creams. Suitable for all skin types, free of harmful ingredients, and made in Korea.
how?
- After your evening wash, rub a small amount onto a dry face in circular motions, rinse, and complete your routine once a week is enough (and if your skin is sensitive: every 10 days).
On Tuesday and Thursday, use the propolis night mask cream.
why?
- It soothes sensitive skin, deeply nourishes it, maintains hydration overnight, and helps create a smoother morning glow; it even reduces the appearance of lines and fatigue.
how?
- Instead of moisturizer on the chosen night, apply a thin layer as a cream/mask as the last step, and sleep on it.
- Use it two or three times a week depending on how dry the air is.
For the rest of the days: stick to your simple daily routine: a gentle cleanser, a moisturizing toner, followed by a winter brightening serum (possibly niacinamide or whatever you prefer), then a moisturizer morning and night, and sunscreen in the morning, even in winter.
Why moisturizing is the most important thing in winter (and on top of that, it helps with brightening!)
- Winter means a thirsty skin barrier
- Cold air, like that from an air conditioner, draws out moisture, causing the surface to become rough and lose its shine.
Deep hydration (especially through an overnight mask) retains water within the skin and leaves it feeling softer.
- Moisturizing accelerates the brightening result.
When the skin is hydrated, light is reflected better and spots appear more visually subtle. Also, your skin can tolerate the brightening ingredients without irritation, so the tone becomes lighter and more tranquil over time.
- For the results to last, sunscreen is necessary.
Even in winter, ultraviolet rays are present and cause pigmentation; so never skip sunscreen.
